The group of students featured in our video have been studying Croatian for a second semester now. They are studying according to our established programme, but because the group is small (only three students!) the programme is adjusted so they can learn exactly what they want and need.
Therefore, they are not only studying Croatian but Croatian culture as well. During a particular lesson they watch a Croatian film or read articles from a daily newspaper, while on another occasion they discuss the past elections.
As you can hear in the video, most of the students come to Zagreb because of love. Fabiana has been living and working in Zagreb for over a year now and plans to stay. Adrienn came to Zagreb from Hungary. She found Croatian language very hard at the beginning but is already very proficient. Anna is one of the rare students who is here for work. She always has an extra ticket for a Spanish film being shown in theatres or a Spanish band performing in Zagreb.
